Wow, I can’t believe April is almost here! March has been an extremely busy month for both of us, but we have accomplished a lot.

As far as our Atlanta reception…

Ross and ventured on 7 cake tastings, and finally found the perfect cake! Not only is it absolutely delicious, but completely affordable too! It was definitely worth gaining a few pounds to find the right cake :)

We have booked our DJ too! He is the perfect fit for us, and really understands what we like and what we are going for. As a musician himself, he is really into music and therefore knows all of the bands that we love. 

So cake and DJ down, what else? Hmm…well Lahonda and I have also been working really hard on the design elements for the reception. We have pretty much ordered everything we need at this point, which is really exciting and encouraging! LaRhonda and I have worked really hard to find great deals on the things I love so that the reception will be perfect and beautiful!

As far as our Costa Rica wedding…

After much going back and forth, Ross and I have decided not to hire a musician for our ceremony. I was really adament about it, but Ross finally talked some sense into me. I’m a little sad, but spending hundreds of dollars to have someone play 3 songs is pretty silly after all. 

Other than cutting out the DJ, we are still all on track. I am waiting patiently (or trying) to hear back from the florist. Once I hear back (finally), I will be able to review the design plan with her. She will also be making a sample centerpiece and photographing it for us to approve. I am really looking forward to seeing what she comes up with based on the information I provided her with. Let’s hope it’s beautiful!

Ross and I also made our formal invitations for Costa Rica and sent those out. We have been receiving many compliments on the design, which leaves me beaming with joy! A lot of hard work and love is going into all of this, and it’s great to see our efforts paying off. I am thinking of posting a little sneak peak picture of the Costa Rica save-the-dates and invitations soon, so look out for those.
